At Mohawk College, we use Advertising Media Planning by Sissors and Bumba (published by NTC Business Books) which, of all the books I've reviewed, is one of the best and we use it in our Strategic Planning Courses. I learned how to plan on-the-job. When I read this book, it explained the why behind many of the things I had been taught. NTC also publishes a Media Planning Workbook by Goodrich and Sissors which gives very practical exercises in elementary planning concepts but if you've been planning, you probably already know that. Another NTC book that I just received, and have not reviewed, is Essentials of Media Planning, A Marketing Viewpoint by Barban, Cristol and Kopec. From the size of the book and skimming through it, it certainly is not as complete as the first book I mentioned. There is one more book that I have - not at the office however. I'll look for the name and email it to you.
